Sacred Heart Prayer

All of this has built a capacity within me to love and be loved beyond measure. I belong to the one I love and No matter what I will face, I know that still He loves me just as I am. It is now my quest to allow this gift of love to overflow from Him, to me, to others. It is the only thing I have to give and the only thing that truly matters. None of us know how our lives and stories will end but my hope is my legacy will be these simple words, “And still she loved…”

Jesus encourages us to throw our nets into the deep (Luke 5:4) even when we’ve been unsuccessful or have tried for a long time. He promises that unlike attempting things on our own, being guided by Him, trusting in Him leads to all things being possible (Matt. 19:26). Going deeper into the unknown of God is the path, although not easy, that holds the breath of life after a long struggle.

Our lives are an adventure and as Christian Surfer Girls we get to surf the most beautiful breaks in the world in a quest for the perfect ride. My adventure took a significant turn in Maui where I had a bright future ahead of me, a vivid vision of what my life would be. As far as I was concerned, I was living the life of my dreams. I would sit overlooking the beach break and think to myself, “ I am totally fulfilled and content. I do not need anything more in this life” But this blissful glimpse was fleeting and my plans were not God’s plans.
